A Message From the Director
It is with great joy and super excitement we welcome you to the family of Functional School. We feel proud and privileged to serve you as you join the community of dedicated adult learners.
Upon inception about two decades ago, with just a location, we wasted no time deciphering precisely what the assignment was and the exact deployment we needed to make.
This of course has translated into multiple and strategically located learning centres to cater for the ever-growing numbers of our patrons. Our programmes are carefully designed and managed by well-seasoned facilitators to guarantee the desired learning outcome.
We wish to advise that your commitment should not be in part, rather it should be absolute.
It is possible, you can read and write!

We provide basic education for adults that offers opportunities for them to improve on their literacy skills; to meet their personal goals and responsibilities as citizens, parents, and workers and to be able to contribute their quota to nation building as it is expected from every citizen.
Any person who is unable to read and write at all or is able to do it in part.
Morning session 8am – 12 noon.
Evening session. 5pm – 8pm.
Monday – Friday, except Public holidays.
We instruct on a one-on-one basis, in groups and in the traditional classroom setting.
